Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology officially announced the list of Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Centers recognized for the year 2025. The "Guangdong Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center for New Energy Vehicle Battery and Components Testing" (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"), constructed by GRGTEST, has successfully passed the accreditation.

The approval of this provincial-level Engineering Technology Research Center signifies the government's authoritative recognition of GRGTEST's technical expertise, research capabilities, and service standards in the field of new energy vehicle battery and component testing. This achievement marks the company's advancement into the ranks of provincial benchmark enterprises in this sector.

Currently, the center focuses on novel power battery energy storage technologies such as solid-state batteries, supercapacitors, and hydrogen fuel cells. It has established a comprehensive strategic layout encompassing core high-voltage electrical components including new energy vehicle (NEV) high-voltage powertrains, battery systems, cells, key raw materials, battery distribution units (BDUs), and battery boxes, as well as specialized testing technologies for battery thermal management systems and battery management systems (BMS). The center prioritizes research on integrated testing, simulation, and AI-driven failure mechanism analysis as cutting-edge technological advancements.

In the future, the center will focus on breakthroughs in key solid-state battery testing technologies. Prioritizing needs from pilot-scale to mass production stages-including core material R&D, proof-of-concept validation, pilot-scale verification, system performance testing, safety certification, environmental and occupational health assessments, and application scenario development-the center will conduct research on common technologies, establish testing and evaluation standards, enhance application scenario validation capabilities, integrate in-situ/non-destructive testing technologies, and develop safety and ESG compliance frameworks. It aims to build an integrated testing platform covering all aspects of solid-state batteries. Through demonstration projects, the center will establish mutual recognition mechanisms for test results, fostering a positive cycle of "testing-standard-industry synergy." This initiative will support the transformation and upgrading of Guangdong's new energy vehicle industry while providing strategic support for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's new energy vehicle industrial cluster.

As a state-owned third-party metrology testing institution with leading comprehensive capabilities, GRGTEST has established a one-stop metrology testing technology service platform for new energy products. The platform provides end-to-end lifecycle testing and validation services covering environmental stress, mechanical stress, electromagnetic compatibility, electrical performance, safety, thermal management, NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), and material chemistry, creating a comprehensive industrial chain service advantage. Specialized new energy testing laboratories have been set up in major cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, Nanchang, Chongqing, and Hangzhou to enhance product safety and quality. Its services span key industries such as automotive, power grids and new energy storage, rail transit, shipbuilding, aviation, and low-altitude economy sectors, facilitating cross-domain integration of new energy technologies.
