Products Description
GRGTEST GADSL Automotive Global Substance List Test helps automotive supply chain enterprises ensure their component production materials comply with GADSL requirements. By conducting GADSL testing, companies can effectively support vehicles in meeting 3R (Reuse, Recycle, Recovery) design and manufacturing objectives, proactively respond to global environmental regulations (such as ELV, REACH, SVHC), and confidently address regulatory scrutiny from environmental authorities to ensure compliant product launches.
Service Content
GADSL, the Global Automotive Declarable Substance List, is a collaborative effort by automotive and auto parts suppliers (Tier 1 suppliers), along with chemical and plastics industry professionals. This list specifically identifies materials expected to be present in vehicles at the point of sale. To ensure their product designs and manufacturing blueprints align with the 3R principles (Reuse, Recycle, Recover) and meet evolving green environmental regulations, global automakers must also adhere to GADSL requirements beyond international standards like the European End-of-Life Vehicles Directive (ELV) and REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Transparency) for Substances of Very High Hazard (SVHC). Manufacturers must comply with GADSL specifications regarding material selection and usage in vehicle component production to satisfy environmental compliance requirements.
Labeling Requirements
"P" -Prohibited in all applications. "D/P" -Restricted in certain applications but mandatory for all other cases. For further details, refer to the relevant GADSL documentation. "D" -Substances requiring declaration when exceeding specified threshold values, though not prohibited for automotive components.
GADSL does not supersede contractual agreements between suppliers and OEMs.
PS:
- The "threshold values" in GADSL's list represent reporting limits rather than permissible concentrations of declared materials in products.
- GADSL does not replace OEM contracts or supplier agreements.
