PFAs perfluorinated/polyfluoroalkyl substance testing: Testing method: CEN/TS 15968:2010

PFOA+PFOS content testing: Testing method: US EPA 3550C and CEN/TS 15968:2010/GB31604.35

PFOA+PFOS dissolution test: According to the Food Contact Materials (FCM) regulations of the European Union (EU) and German Standards (LFGB), simulated liquid and temperature conditions can be selected for testing. Testing method: EN 13130.

• Possess the ability to interpret PFAs global regulations and provide training on regulatory technology for various OEMs.

• Can provide customers with PFAs substance testing and risk substance assessment, evaluate risk materials within the regulatory definition of the entire product, and provide one-stop testing solutions.

Common Problem

 

Q: Can PFAs measure total fluoride with so many substances?

A: If we follow the specific control requirements of PFAs, such as the limit of 25ppb for PFOA and its salts in POP, the detection limit for total F is at the 50ppm level, making it difficult to determine the compliance of PFAs based on the total F results. A customer has asked this question before, and the total F detection limit is relatively high. Even ND is difficult to determine whether it meets the requirements for PFAs prohibition, because now many PFAs related substances have low regulatory control limits at the ppb level.

Q: In which products or materials are polyfluoroalkyl compounds commonly found?

A: Fluorinated polymers, textiles, leather, surface modified items, thread leather, etc.
