Q: Do batteries in exported electrical products need to meet the EU RoHS compliance requirements?

A: No need, the EU RoHS control directive does not include batteries. Batteries must meet the requirements of the Battery Directive, which has lower material limits than EU RoHS. The EU RoHS 2.0 test for electronic products requires the battery to be removed.
