China's new-energy vehicle (NEV) sector has entered a phase of explosive growth. Breakthroughs in traction batteries, drive motors, thermal management and other core technologies have sharpened the sector's global competitiveness. Yet, as the country races to become a world-class NEV powerhouse, a more robust, forward-looking standards system is urgently needed to steer the industry toward standardized, sustainable development.

To meet this need, four groundbreaking group standards on thermal-management technologies-drafted under the Standardization Working Committee of the China International Association for Standardization Cooperation, with GRGTEST as a lead contributor-have been officially released. Covering batteries, motors, power-electronics, and cabin thermal management for NEVs, the standards close critical gaps in the current regulatory landscape. By providing timely and precise technical benchmarks, they accelerate innovation and foster an ecosystem where technology, industry and policy reinforce one another, propelling China's NEV sector toward more regulated and efficient high-quality growth.
