Guangdong serves as the national core cluster for the textile and apparel industry; Panyu, in particular, boasts a mature fashion apparel industry cluster characterized by a comprehensive industrial chain infrastructure and significant advantages in foreign trade exports. In his address, He Zhikang, Full-time Vice President of the Guangdong Textile and Apparel Association, emphasized that the pressure to transform the industry continues to mount, while quality supervision measures both domestically and internationally are increasingly stringent. He stressed that Guangdong's textile and apparel sector should focus on three key development priorities-high-end development, intelligent manufacturing, and sustainable development-to seize the initiative and gain a competitive edge during the industry's optimization and upgrading process, thereby jointly fostering the growth of new-quality productivity within the traditional textile and apparel sector.
