Recently, GRGTEST collaborated with TUV SUD to assist Xiamen Yaxon Connect Co.,Ltd (referred to as Yaxon Connect) in obtaining China's first batch of NG eCall (Next Generation Emergency Call System) certificates. The certificates were issued by the Luxembourg Ministry of Transport (SNCH) on January 3, 2025, contributing to the promotion of Chinese automobiles abroad.
The eCall is an automatic emergency rescue call system initially launched by the European Union and applied to automobiles. NG eCall is the next-generation emergency call system based on the regulatory requirements of (EU) 2015/758, featuring faster and more reliable response capabilities, further ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. According to Regulation (EU) 2024/1180, vehicles will gradually transition to NG eCall from January 1, 2025, to January 1, 2027.
Since taking on the Yaxon Connect project in November 2024, GRGTEST has fully utilized its professional expertise in eCall testing to tailor a testing and certification plan for Yaxon Connect's T-Box (in-vehicle intelligent terminal) products. They assisted in the rectification and analysis of prototype issues throughout the process, pushing the project to be completed on time and in full. Ultimately, the products successfully passed the EU 2017/79 and TS 17240:2018 standard tests, obtaining China's first batch of NG eCall certificates one month ahead of the contract deadline, earning high recognition from the client and vehicle manufacturers.
