Recently, five soil composition analysis standard substances (Guangdong brick red soil, Hunan red soil, Henan sand ginger black soil, Guangxi rice soil, Liaoning brown soil) developed by the GRGTEST Standard Material Center have obtained national standard substance grading certificates, with certificate numbers: GBW (E) 070390 to GBW (E) 070394.
The standard substances for soil composition analysis are an important basis for tracing the measurement values of soil quality investigation. They can effectively promote the investigation of soil fertility and ecological agricultural environment, and ensure the quality of evaluation work. They provide quality assurance for the confirmation of soil composition analysis methods by inspection and testing institutions, assessment of testing personnel's abilities, and quality control of the testing process. At the same time, they play a strong technical support for the evaluation of farmland quality, agricultural zoning, establishment of high standard farmland, and field fertilization management. Currently, the third national soil survey is ongoing, and this batch of soil composition analysis standard substances can be well applied to quality control in soil testing processes.
The development of this standard substance collected 5 soil candidate substances in Guangdong, Hunan, Henan, Guangxi, Liaoning and other places, and carried out processing and preparation processes such as air drying, impurity removal, aging, and crushing. In accordance with the requirements of JJF 1343-2022 "Calibration, Uniformity, and Stability Evaluation of Standard Substances", uniformity and stability tests were conducted. Eleven authoritative laboratories with relevant qualifications were organized to complete collaborative calibration, and statistical analysis and processing were carried out on the calibration results, including outlier testing, equal accuracy testing, and normal distribution testing. Uncertainty evaluations were conducted on various parameters, and the standard values and uncertainties of this batch of soil component analysis standard substances were finally obtained.
