DO-160G Test, Electromagnetic Compatibility Test Of Airborne Electronic Equipment

Leave a message

With the continuous development of aviation technology, the number of electronic equipment carried on modern aircraft is increasing, and its functions are becoming increasingly complex. These electronic devices not only provide various convenient functions, but also bring electromagnetic compatibility problems.

In order to ensure flight safety, all airborne electronic equipment must be strictly tested before being installed on the aircraft to prove that it can work normally in the complex electromagnetic environment, and DO-160 test is one of the most important links.

At present, DO-160 has been updated to version G(released in December 2010). The formulation and revision of DO-160 is in coordination with the European version of RTCA: EUROCAE, as a result of the cooperation between the two organizations across the Atlantic Ocean, DO-160F is completely consistent with its European version EUROCAE ed-14f.

RTCA DO-160 standard specifies the environmental conditions and test procedures of airborne equipment, in which the test items related to EMC have nine chapters. According to the standard, combined with rich EMC testing experience, it provides professional test system integration services for the aviation field.

The test system can be divided into the following parts:

1. RF energy emission (RTCA DO-160 sec 21)

2. RF sensitivity (RTCA DO-160 sec 20)

3. Sensitivity of audio signal and induced signal of power line (RTCA DO-160 sec 18&19)

Voltage spike test (RTCA DO-160 sec 17) magnetic field effect, power input and electrostatic discharge test (RTCA DO-160 sec 15, 16, 25) are all tested by special instruments, and system integration is not required.

GRGTEST has a professional electromagnetic compatibility laboratory, which can effectively find and solve the electromagnetic compatibility problems of airborne electronic equipment and ensure its safe use on the aircraft.
