Service Content

The measurement of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in broadcasting and television includes PAH detection consulting services, raw material testing, and testing of complete machines and component products.

The testing of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) mainly focuses on detecting compounds such as benzene, phenanthrene, anthracene, fluoranthene, pyrene, and benzo [a].

Service background

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) are a general term for a class of aromatic compounds, mainly derived from residues in tar refining. They exist in petrochemical products such as crude oil, wood tar, tar, dyes, plastics, rubber, lubricants, rust proof oils, film removers, gasoline retarders, capacitor electrolytes, mineral oils, asphalt, and are also present in daily chemical products such as pesticides, charcoal, fungicides, mosquito coils, etc. Items containing rubber components, especially those using recycled tire materials, may contain high levels of PAHs. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons have carcinogenic, mutagenic, and reproductive system toxicity properties.

Common problem

Q: Which non-metallic materials have a higher risk of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons?

A: PAHs are polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, mostly present as impurities in plastic and rubber products, coatings, PVC products, shoe soles, children's toys, skateboard wheels, etc. Plastic and rubber materials in electronic and electrical products pose a relatively high risk.
